FOR SALE

Fantastic Pousada Redfsih

Due to changed family circumstances - children with a grandmother who, is not only getting on, but insists on living in the UK, and also a somewhat painful divorce settlement - I have decided to offer the Redfish up for sale. It has been a fantastic project but I want my kids to experience at least a year in England (as children) and don't see how I can continue to run it effectively (if I'm not around).

I am asking in the region of 1.2 million Euros, though am willing to negotiate depending on speed and form of payment.

All serious offers considered. For further details, please go to this link - www.hotelredfish.com. Enquiries to hotelredfish@gmail.com

The Pousada Redfish is ideally situated for the forthcoming world cup, being a mere 10 minute walk from the Stadium. I don't think there is, or will be any guest house or hotel any closer! This, and still being in the Historical Centre, a few minutes walk (in the other direction) to Pelourinho.

The total property comprises more than 800m² with the 8 room pousada, a large 2 floor gallery and a decent sized shop unit with it's own street entrance.

Hotel Redfish was completely rebuilt from foundations up to a very high standard (see - http://www.hotelredfish.com/projectredfish.htm ) with great attention to quality details.
Stone floors throughout
Fantastic wooden ceilings throughout
Specially made big hardwood (3m high!) doors and window units
Totally rebuilt ornate façade

This is, if not the most important building in Santo Antonio, then one of the most important, and, with 35m ornate façade certainly has unavoidable presence.

The hotel comprises 8 suites, of which 2 (the Luxury suites) have private terraces with 300° views. All rooms have good bathrooms with proper hot showers (separate water heater for every 2 rooms), and air-conditioning. There is a large breakfast area looking through to the lush courtyard garden. Redfish is probably the most sought after guest house in Santo Antonio and, while being very competitively priced, has a potential annual income of almost R$750.000,00.

The gallery is on 2 floors connected by a hand-made spiral staircase and is naturally lit by 6 huge windows. The owner has never fully commercialized this space, but, as a practicing artist, sells successfully through it.

The shop unit has been prepared to function as a designer (painted) furniture store.
