Hi, My daughter Yvonne and I stayed in pousada Redfish in June 2011, for a few days. We were very impressed with the room, and balcony with hammock, with views of the sea, and church. It was lovely, peaceful/tranquil. The breakfasts were also very enjoyable. You and your staff were always very helpful. We would not hesitate in recommending, and using the Redfish again. I read so much info. before we booked about not staying in a hotel if outside the Pelourinho area, because it was'nt safe. We did'nt encounter any problems at all,and we walked to and from, several times during our stay at the Redfish. Salvador is a fabulous place, loved everything about it, and hope to return one day. Our stay in Itacare, Bahia, was also as exciting, and beautiful. Oh! Brazil how we love you! But now alas, my daughter Yvonne, has returned to France, where she lives, and I have returned to Lincolnshire in England. A far, far cry from beautiful Brazil, which is sadly missed. Thankyou once again Redfish for helping to make our holiday so perfect. - Pauline and Yvonne.x

I stayed at the Pousada Redfish recently (from 22-25 April) and absolutely loved my stay! I was with a friend and the staff took amazing care of both of us, helping us out with reservations, requests and even helpful advice about safety at night etc. I really have never met such warm, welcoming, hospitable hotel staff before ever! The pousada itself is an absolute delight and brilliantly located and I can't wait to come back to it again. My only regret is not buying a pair of the red fish-themed capoeira pants - was worried about luggage as we were heading off to the Amazon just after Salvador and were not allowed to bring more than 10k to the lodge - so if there's any chance I might be able to buy a pair here in the UK, I'd love to know how!

Myself and Tina are essentially at the end of our trip in brazil, our final stop being in Salvador with a stay in your guesthouse. I must say your pousada and all the staff have been one of the best parts. We were so impressed with the kind and helpful nature of all your staff. They made our stay truly enjoyable and helped us organize the majority of the tourist attractions we visited. Despite any language issues between us..... communication was easy. I have not had this many good things to say about any other place we stayed, and this is the only email like this I have sent. Believe me... I am a complainer. I will definetely reccomend Redfish to any of my friends coming to Salvador and am sure that we will be back ourselves soon. We really really enjoyed our stay at Redfish. After searching the internet for weeks, we feel that we are so lucky and blessed to have decided upon Redfish. Our room was ´the bomb´ - as my daughter says -- immaculately clean, super spacious and comfortable, and the terrace is spectacular. the view is a perfect combination of the bay, the historic buildings, and the local streets. We especially appreciate the wonderful, helpful staff - esp Marco, who were always there to give advice and make us feel at home. all of the Redfish staff are super professional and we truly appreciate everyone.
