Navigating Demolition Permits in Ho Chi Minh City: Costs, Application, and Safety Guidelines

A demolition permit is a government-issued document that allows you to demolish a structure. It also outlines the requirements and conditions that must be met during the demolition process.

Cost

The cost of a demolition permit in Vietnam can vary depending on the size of the structure and the number of days that it will take to demolish it. The fee must be paid by the applicant before the permit is issued. The demolition contractor must post the permit certificate in a location visible and legible from a public street or sidewalk before beginning demolition work. The contractor must also provide proof of insurance and submit a written site safety plan and structural condition report.

If a house is deemed unsafe or in disrepair, the city will demolish it. However, the owner must agree to the demolition and provide compensation for any losses suffered as a result of the demolition.
